Wednesday 12 September 2012 Paziols France

Early walk to top of the hill for great views over the whole valley though a bit too hazy for decent photos.

After breakfast we all headed to the Pre History Museum at Tautagel,  a small town about 30 min drive away. Nearby in 1971 some Homo Erectus remains were found in caves which date back 450,000 years and the museum has some great displays of the geology of the area and the actual remains. Spent fascinating  couple of hours there with good audio guide in English  to all the displays.

After siesta we walked down to  one of the local wine cellars for a bit of tasting.

Later to the one restaurant in the village (Angele and Henri) for an amazing 4 course dinner for an amazingly cheap price.

Evening rain, wind and thunderstorms in the night.
