Sunday 13th May
Bangor to Belfast Maine. Out to Bangor airport by 9.30 am to pick up our next rental car which turned out to be a bright red Fiat 500, which surprisingly did manage to hold all our baggage  comfortably. We headed for Bar Harbor and spent most of the day at  Acadia National Park, driving the 27 mile loop road throughout park  and stopping frequently on hill tops and by the sea-very beautiful place,  with such a lot of different views-coastline, lakes and hills, and things to do.

Later we drove further down the Maine coast  to Belfast , an old town on a river  where we stayed in a motel with grounds running down to the sea. Spent an interesting hour or two experiencing local culture in the Bar and Grill watching baseball and college lacrosse on the TV.
