Friday 25th May New York

Just hung out at home with Michelle in the morning then Lyndsay and I took subway to 34 St and walked down to 30th St  to the start of the High Line, an old raised freight railway line that has now been converted into an urban park that stretches 16 blocks down to 14th street and has planning permission to extend it further at uptown end. Beautifully done and amazing to be walking in attractive gardens above the street between older high rise buildings many of which have been refurbished. Forecast for the day had been for rain so we had left sunhats at home and then had to use umbrellas as sun shades!

We had a bit of a wander through West Village and real coffee  in shop that had notice that read “We don’t have Wi Fi-enjoy your conversation”. Home on subway again feeling like locals. Pizza for dinner.
