Decided to check out Olympic Venue
at Stratford so took tube out there. Bit difficult to figure out where Olympic
park actually was, then discovered no access at the moment, however you can
look down on it from the top floor of John Lewis Department store within the
Stratford Westfield Mall which is a
pretty gruesome edifice to consumerism and commercialisation of Olympics.
However whilst there we managed to get a data card for Lynds’s iPad with 3GB data valid for 3 months for
15GBP which has proved to be excellent value when we cant get wifi. We havent
really had any problems with network connection except in places where none at
all. Carrying our picnic with us as
usual and very difficult to find a place to sit down except in the food courts,
finally found some cordoned off seats outside so jumped barrier, then other
people did so after us.
