Same Shirt, Different day-2012 Adventures of the "Devonport Wonder Babes"

Friday 5 October 2012 San Sebastian Spain.

Nice Skype this morning with Kaye and Anne from Tauranga where they are babysitting Rosie for the weekend. Will try again tonight when she is up in morning in NZ.

Lovely morning again, sunny and about 22 degrees.

Went for a walk up the hill behind our hotel, Monte Ulia, one of the 3 peaks in San Sebastian. Bit of a hot morning for walking up hills but we spent a very pleasant couple of hours climbing to the top through residential areas and walking around the top, quite nice in shade. Later we discovered this was a part of the El Camino walk into San Sebastian. Great views from the top of the hill.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Back down again and then off to yet another BM supermarket we discovered in Gross to get bread, cheese and tomatoes for lunch.

Siesta then off on #13 bus to beach where we spent very pleasant couple of hours swimming and lying around on the beach.

 

 

 

About 6pm started walking back across Gross to hotel, Stopped at AMA bar were we had dinner last night and just had a beer and one pintxos each, Lyndsay  had one sardine and one anchovy on bread base and  I had zucchini, green pepper and very tasty salty ham.

Back to hotel for a coffee and conversations with Anna who is one of the owners with her sister Marianne. The hotel was named the Hotel Record because Anna broke a swimming record the week her parents bought the hotel !!

 Further Skype conversation with Tauranga, Grandma Kaye  and Rosie plus Aunty Jaffa who had all had a great day shopping. Later nice photo of Kaye and Rosie both asleep.
