Sunday 8 th July Uig, Skye to Glasgow
Packed up and on road by 9am for the drive down to Glasgow. Again impressed by the spectacular scenery on Skye. Stopped for lunch at forestry layby at southern end of Loch Linnehe where the flask of hot tea was definitely needed.

The magnificence of Glen Coe was a pleasant surprise we had not driven through it previously. By 2 pm when the Wimbledon Men’s final was starting we were further down valley by Loch Lomond and still had no radio or internet reception so were forced to stop at The Drovers Inn (“Inn of the Year in 1705”) so we could watch on TV. Very original pub which Rob Roy was said to have visited and décor hasn’t changed much in past 3 centuries.

Watched first set there and then discovered via Facebook that John ( not a tennis fan usually !!) was watching it at home in Old Kilpatrick so hot footed in down there during second set and watched last two in comfort with glass in hand. Paul was out bike riding but had taken a wrong turning so was a little bit late arriving home.

Pleasant evening spent catching up and watching another dark episode of Wallander on TV. Just about had enough of that character.
